Workers’ Music Festival 26. - 29.7.2012

The Workers’ Music Festival is a unique event known nationwide for its great atmosphere and programme. Situated by the Valkeakoski canal, this 100-year-old factory milieu offers a great setting for the annual four-day festival that gathers together tens of thousands of music lovers of different ages to enjoy its diverse programme.

The festival features top musicians as well as up-and-coming artists, exhibitions, activities for children and teenagers, sing-alongs at the Kirjaslampi beach in the evenings, clubs, open-air dances, music cruises and classic tunes of from the world of workers’ music. This year’s event will offer performances by artists such as Hayseed Dixie (USA), Paleface, Arja Saijonmaa, Jenni Vartiainen, Suvi Teräsniska, Reino Nordin, Yö, Happoradio, Erja Lyytinen, Sir Elwoodin hiljaiset värit, Jo Stance, Liljan Loisto and Seitsemän Seinähullua Veljestä.
